A CHRISTMAS STORY, The Musical is the Broadway musical comedy gift you will cherish all holiday long! In 1940's Indiana, a bespectacled boy named Ralphie has a big imagination and one wish for Christmas--a Red Ryder BB Gun. A kooky leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a cranky department store Santa and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the obstacles that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas dream. Based on the classic 1983 movie, A CHRISTMAS STORY, The Musical captures holiday wonder with funny and heartfelt songs, show-stopping dancing, delicious wit and a heart of gold. This family-friendly musical is about to take its place among the great musical classics! Holland’s production features 50 students on stage, with performers from 4th grade thru 12th grades and another 20 students working backstage! The production will have sets that include the family house and Ralphie’s school and will be amongst the biggest Holland High has ever done. The choreography is being done by alumni Abbie Page, dance educator June Wygant and many of the big numbers done by Broadway guest artist Lydia Ruth Dawson! The production is musical directed by James Colburn and directed by Hall of Fame director, Kevin Schneider. Performances are Nov. 29, 30, Dec. 1, 6, 7, 8 at 7:00 p.m. as well as Dec. 1, 2, 8, 9 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now online or in person in the school main office!
