Walker Police Officer Shannon VanderHeuvel surprised Holland High senior Jose Marin in front of his peers at HHS, March 30, informing him that he had been selected to receive the Trevor P. Slot Scholarship.

This $1,000 memorial scholarship, given in the memory of Walker Police Officer Trevor Slot, is awarded to students who are interested in a career in law enforcement.
