Earlier this month, Holland West K-7 students took part in a Read-A-Thon fundraiser as part of National Reading Month, receiving pledges from family members, neighbors and friends. With over $4,300 raised, West students and staff got a big surprise during their lunch hour on March 30 and it wasn't what they were eating.

West Principal Dr. Kathleen Ramirez and Site Manager Stephanie Rhoda surprised the students by being duct-taped to the wall of the cafeteria.
