On March 16th, the Holland HS Jazz Ensemble of the Holland High School Band Program received a Division 1 rating at the Michigan School Band and Orchestra District X Jazz Festival, held at Caledonia High School in Caledonia, Michigan.

This was the second year that the Holland High School Jazz Band has received an overall Division 1 rating in the ensemble's history and earned straight Division 1 ratings for their performance. In addition to the literature performed as an ensemble, some of the students in the Jazz Band were even complemented on their jazz improvisation solos individually throughout the performance.
