Holland East students Nicole Vega, Alasha Greer and Esperanza Cruz recently raised over $400 for SXI student Jake Gainey, a student who has cerebral palsy and an eye disease. The girls, who are 6th graders, raised the money for his family to help fund a lift for a van which will help Jake be more mobile. The girls asked fellow students to contribute silver coins to their fund.
