Holland High will hold its 79th Annual Veterans Day Observance on Friday, Nov. 11.

The ceremony will be begin at 10:15 am in the Dutch Dome. Musical performances will be provided by the Vocal Dimensions, HHS choirs, and the Wind Ensemble.

The keynote speaker is Marine Staff Sergeant Jeffrey Draney.

SSgt Draney, an Allegan High grad, joined the Marines in 2004, and has earned many commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Irag Service Medal, the Navy Unit Citation Ribbon, and Meritorious Mast.

The public is invited. Military veterans (and family and friends) are also invited to the Holland High Commons at 9:15 am for coffee, pastry, and fellowship.
