Twenty-one students of Holland East officially became safeties during a "swearing in" ceremony during their lunch hour at the school on Friday, Oct. 21. Holland Mayor Nancy DeBoer sworn in the students into the school's safety patrol, along with presenting them a "Certificate of Appreciation" for completing their required training for the Safety Patrol.
