On Saturday, March 7th, eleven band students from Holland High School participated in the Hope College High School Honors Band with other high school band students from surrounding Michigan area school districts. This one-day event, which was held at Hope College's Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts, gave high school musicians, nominated by their band directors, the opportunity to rehearse and prepare some very challenging musical repertoire that concluded with a performance in the evening. Participating HHS Band students included Delfina Duron, Leah Meppelink, Caitlyn Prins, Genesis Pedraza, Amy Pedraza, Danielle Prins, Maddie Fischer, Seth Leveque, Micah Babinski, Jason Kamphuis, and Dominic Sanders.
