K-5 music teacher Jim De Boer wore his dress-up performance tuxedo in honor of his much cherished students and his last day in HPS.

Mr. De Boer was the music teacher at Height and West and he leaves HPS to become a professor at Hope College. Congrats, Jim!

DeBoer began teaching music in HPS back in the 1995-96 school year. Jim says one memorable highlight (along with every amazing school performance at holiday time) was when he traveled with his 5th grade ensemble to sing the National Anthem at a Detroit Pistons game at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Pontiac in 2006.
