HHS Marching Band Student Leaders Take Part in Leadership Lock-In

After being out of school for less than 2 weeks, the student leadership of the HHS Marching Band were right back down to business from 6 p.m.-12 a.m. on Monday, June 17th at their mini leadership lock-in. This valuable evening of focused and fun leadership skill-building was planned, facilitated, and implemented by GVSU Music Education student and HHS Drill Writer and Instructor, Mason England. Drum majors and section leaders participated in team building and leadership activities such as Plane Crash and Shark Tank with a band twist, along with group discussions regarding improvements and goals for the upcoming marching season. The evening culminated with student leaders creating and signing a collective Leadership Goals Contract. Many thanks to these students and Mr. England for their incredible dedication and commitment to the HHS Band Program!
