Three cheers for Alex Marko, a 7th grader at West! 

Students from fourth through seventh grade at West competed with their classmates to win the classroom competitions. Then they entered the Final Championship with every classroom winner.

Finalists then answered a variety of questions about specific countries, states, National Parks, National Water Trails, and so on. Questions were answered orally and written. Students have 15 seconds to answer each question. Talk about pressure! West students did an awesome job demonstrating their knowledge of geography.

Alex will now go on to take a written test and his score will determine if he gets to go to the next level of competition, which is the State Championship round.
