Many soloists achieved Division I Superior ratings for the first time at State S&E, including Josh DeVries on trombone, Tessa Munster on tenor sax, alto saxophonist Maddie Fischer, and Conrad Cassar on clarinet.

In addition, the trumpet trio of HHS Seniors Alberto Castillo, Jr., Lilith Sheridan, and Sonny Kun took home a Division I Superior Rating for their performance of "Trumpets of Spain."

Last but certainly not least, the HHS Percussion Ensemble with members Dominic Sanders, Alisha Kun, Hunter Tripp, Julian Sisson, Alberto Castillo, Jr., Andy Lunn, Evan Stokes, Fabian Flores, Ismael Valdiviez III, Giovanni Garcia, Noah Whiteman, Benjamin Logan, and Beatriz Campos took home blue Division I Superior rating medals for their ensemble piece entitled "Mambolicious."

In order to qualify for State Solo & Ensemble, students had to achieve a Division I Superior rating at MSBOA District X Solo & Ensemble Festival held on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Zeeland East HS. HHS is very proud of these student musicians' accomplishments!"
